I installed the 163.47 vista 32 drivers evry thing was fine. Last week i formatted to XP sp2 32 and installed the 163.74 (currently on) and 163.23 xp 32 drivers and it detects my card as 512mb. in vista it detected 256 dedicted and 1gb total. Here it just says 512mb. help please. Specs Vaio Core 2 duo 2Ghz 2gb ram 8400 gt 256 dedicated xp 32 thanks. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
smax Posted October 7, 2007 Report Share Posted October 7, 2007 Vista and XP allocate additional memory to the video card differently. My 128 MB card is reported as 512 MB in XP, and I think it's 1GB in Vista, but I'm not sure... I'll have to check back at some point.
