Updating your bios can render your computer useless if you lose power or a error occurs Bios should only be updated on these conditions, 1. Your hard drive is so big that bios will not detect its full capacity (not going to happen until we get to petrabits (1000 gigbytes) 2. A hardware issue occurs and the problem can be solved by updating or flashing the bios. Word of advice: Updating your bios should not be a walk in the park or a boredom task...
