Guest Vostro1500User
I have a Vostro 1500 (Duo Core 1.6GHz, 8600M GT, 2GB ram) and I have overclocking quesiton. While playing Half-Life 2 or other demanding games, the game suddenly freezes up with sound reiterating. If I do go back to desktop, the game comes back to normal, and it works fine. However, if I exit the game, the screen goes black with error. Is this a problem caused by my overclocking? I have it currently overclocked at 600/450. The thing is, this also happened when I was running at a default setting... If this problem is caused by overclocking, is it because of the heat? If so, will buying a cooling pad help? Thanks for your help.

Guest Guest
Yeah, it still freezes up... Seems to only happen with half-life2 though
Guest Vostro1500User
By the way, this only happens with Half-Life 2. I could turn on games like UT3 or Crysis for hours and it won't happen...
Guest Vostro1500User
I just figured out it happens even without the overclocking.... So is this my problem or Half-Life 2 problem? Also, I change the default fov to 90 in effort to reduce headache (which it does significantly), does this have anything to do with my problem? Any suggestions or help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!
