jammocaz Posted November 12, 2007 Report Share Posted November 12, 2007 Hello, I read through the forums for information regarding the Nvidia device drivers for the mobile geforce 7150M/630M. I did as instructed with installing device drivers with modded INF. the device is recognized and driver signature message is prompted. i chose continue anyway and the device driver attempts to install. The screen flickers as the drivers are attempting to be written to the hard drive, etc. All of a sudden the install fails and restarts. after restarting the machien will continue to restart. I rolled back the driver and did a complete uninstall. I attempted to install again following instructions with the same results. I can restart the machine in safe mode and complete the install and it says the device is installed successfully however when I boot to start windows normally it restarts itself over and over never reaching the login prompt. I downgraded from Vista Home Premium to Win XP SP2. If anyone is able to help it would be greatly appreciated! The downloaded drivers I used were 156.65 if that helps. Thanks in advance, I will look at other releases for drivers. fat geek Posted November 12, 2007 Report Share Posted November 12, 2007 So from what I see you are able to boot up in safe mode but not in "normal" mode. OK, boot in safe mode. Now goto control panel, click on system. Click on the hardware tab. Click device manager button. Open display adapters, and right click on the line for your graphics card and select Update Driver. This will install what Windows/HP thinks is the latest driver for your computer. Restart. Hopefully this will at least get you back up and running again.
