kelemvor
Howdy, I was referred her from Nvidia's forums to look for assistance. I have a Sony PCG-GRT250K with an nVidia GeForce4 420 Go adapter. The only drivers that Sony has available are from 2003. These drivers suck. All I'm looking for is something that will let me increase the resolution from 1024x768 to something higher. When I tried nVidia's drivers I get an error that no hardware matches the drivers and they don't work. And there's so many drivers on this site I didn't even know where to start. Can anyone let me know what I can use that will work and let me increase my resolution? This is in XP. I tried running that NERD program but it crashed out on me so I can't post the log. Sorry. Thanks.
Bill
What are you talking about? Do you think that upgrading drivers will magically make your LCD run a higher resolution? If your laptop LCD natively runs 1024x768 your out of luck for getting a higher resolution unless you want to go LCD hunting and take your laptop apart. To install drivers from here you need to replace the INF file with the modified one. We have FAQs with this information. (hint hint) I would suggest 77.77, or maybe 84.26 if you want really newer drivers. Anything newer is probably a waste of time. If you ever do figure out how to magically upgrade the number of pixels on an LCD panel please tell me, I could use it on my homemade video projector.
