autolude
I just upgraded my Gateway m685 from a Go 7600 128MB 128bit card to a Go 7800 256MB 256bit card. Install was the same as the writeup on the 8550. I used a Quanta card which I imagine is why it was plug-n-play. Gateway uses the same drivers for both cards, so no issues there. 3D Mark05 went from 4100 to 5400. Nice upgrade. t521
Hi Ice Tea I have been reading your post for a couple of days now trying to research my Gateway m680. It seems my video card was installed without any thermal paste and has since died. It was a 6800 go and now I'm looking for a new card. Most of your recommendations that I have seen are a couple of years old. Just wondering if you are still recommending and selling the x1900 or is there something else you could recommend. I have been watching eBay for another 6800 but they all seem to be Cleo. :)
