alvieolo Posted April 9, 2008 Report Share Posted April 9, 2008 Hi everybody, I had some problems on my amilo, I'm not sure it's the graphic card but I think so. After having a lot of graphic errors on my screen (coloured lines) I decided to mod my heatsink adding new homemade copper pads & thermal paste instead of original thermal pad(the blue ones). Everything went fine and for a couple of weeks my notebook worked. Now I experienced that if I boot my pc without AC/DC but only with his battery the system made those graphic errors and freeze after logging in to Win xp, while if I boot it connected to the AC/DC I have less problems ( I can use the note for normal operation, but if I stress it too much the screen become black and I can only reboot. On a second monitor I have the same problems!! Is the mxm card?? I don't want to buy a new graphic card if it's not really the problem!!! thanks to all!
