Hi, I just wanted to know that if I change the core clock, shader clock, and memory clock from 475, 950, 702 (respectively) to 550, 1150, 800 would this be very detrimental to my gpu? I started playing assassin's creed with the changed sppeds and read a temp of abou 65'C from rivatuner (that is the app i am using). Is this too hot?

I do not know if that's safe, but download ATI Tool, bump all your speeds by 50mhz, and then run the ATI Tool artifact test for a minute. If you see no artifacts, bump all of the speeds by 15mhz, and retest. When you do see artifacts, subtract 20mhz from the speeds, and that's the safe speed. 65c is actually really cool, my 8600 (the Quadro FX570M uses the 8600 die, so theyre basically the same gpu) idles at 69c, and is about 80c under load. You should only worry if your gpu gets 90c+. Good luck :)

I downloaded version 2.06 and 2.04. The former insisted that my 570M was not being used by windows and it instructed me to go do something in display settings, but the msg was incomplete? The 2.04 version did not have this problem but did not detect my 570M at all and came up with an error of not being able to find a kernel driver or something like that. Is there no way to do a similar test with rivatuner, as that app works with my nvidia card...

Hi, I run my 570m at 600/1200/760 and it runs ok... GPU under load is 81C (driver 167.26, rivatuner 2.08)

174.xx driver are SLI optimized and 167.xx are optimized for mobile devices...

Well I have been running my card at 600/1200/760 on the 167.26 driver and everything was fine but now assassin's creed crashes and the graphics driver temporarily stops working about a minute into gameplay...

I have Thinkpad T61p and i wasn't afraid to overclock :)

700/1400/880 in RivaTuner

I get 6352 points in 3DMark 06 (thats better than 8600M GT in SLI or same as 9700M GT)

Temp on GPU: 65°C max in 3DM06 with Zalman-1000 coolin pad and TP fan set on max.

No artifacts!

So it means about 5000 at 3DMark default 1280x1024. Could you run it also?

715/1415/915

Core and shaders i cant overclock more (its maximum in riva tuner)

Max temp in crysis Hight/medium 1280/800 was about 70°-75° with 4600 rpm TP fan and Zalman

Stable 25-28 fps, not much, but cool :)

Agreed, didn't check - I thought 625/800 like my 1600M has...
