Jask32
If I buy a laptop cooling pad, could I overclock my gpu if I keep the temperature down and is the gpu temperature the only thing I need to worry about when OCing? Also, how far can I OC my card even with proper cooling? My rig is a gaming laptop with the specs: Windows vista 32bit Intel core duo cpu 2x @ 2.6ghz 4 gigs of ram Geforce 8600M GTX 512mb Thanks. Dox
overclocking 5% of the card's speed is "safe", but each card (even if its the same type) varies on how much it can be overclocked so no two cards are going to overclock as far/much as eachother. temps are your main concern when overclocking. also your warranty is viod if your card breaks due to overclocking

Dox
dont push it too far, and always do stress tests on the new clocks before declaring it stable. there are plenty of guides on the net :)
