Know the tool but like Perfect Disk much better. See you've been quite active lately. How about signing up with the forum so we can see your 'particulars' to help with answers.

Scratch that...I meant Partition Magic of course! Just too many tools in my head.... Bought MANY newer versions of that thing.

Used PQ PartitionMagic on a regular basis for years. Unfortuneately it is not developed anymore. Very reliable.

Paragon Partition Manager i'm using now for off-standard partiton layouts or faulty partition tables (PQ PM sometimes cannot handle it anymore). So far reliable.

I used PartedMagic once. Its free and i encountered no problems: http://partedmagic.com

Download the ISO here: http://partedmagic.com/downloads/stable/pmagic-3.0.iso.zip

I have used norton partition manager a while back, and it seems to give very good performance although you can try the others and see if desirable performance is achieved.

In my experience performance is solely chipset dependant where INTEL still outperforms AMD or nForce based mobos. I'm speaking of performance in DOS environment...

Intel outperforms AMD in every environment IMO.

:) This might be true for a lot of benchmarks in this time, but a year or 2 ago it was different. Not to mention the early 2000s...

spidey did you have success?
