Neonpt
Hi all, i am an huge noob at overclocking. I have a laptop hp dv6780ep Win Vista 32bits Core2duo 2.4Ghz 4GB RAM Nvidia 8400 GS 256mb In order to improve my gaming expirience i have downloaded the driver 169.04 with the modded INF, there is also an inhanced INF dont know if it is better than the modded one. Then, i have installed River Tuner and overclocked my graphic card to 510/510. But some questions still remain: - Is the 169.04 the best for gaming? - In the River Tuner is the 3d performance the only option i have to increase the graphic card performance? - How far can i overclock? 3D Mark06 Results are: -Stock drivers with no overclock- 2850 -169.4 drivers with no overclock - 2756 -169.4 drivers with overclock at 511/1022/509 - 3596
Covert
Change it to become an 8600M GS through rivatuner, get 177.79 drivers, and overclock.

Neonpt
I have made the tutorial to a 8600m gs, with drivers 169.04 and overclocked 510/510 but inspite of geting way better results in 3dmark05 ( 4280 ), the graphics in a game ( Assasin's Creed ) seems to get a lot worse.
