furyion
Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and its a great forum. I am confused on the type of video card for a laptop. For my work, I need a powerful "gaming laptop" because it has to run X-Plane which is an OpenGL flight simulation software. On top of that, I ABSOLUTELY need a PCMCIA slot for running Condor CEI715 card for ARINC429 data aquisition. This helps me get data in real time from the aircraft and then drive the simulation software. I have not seen many laptop with PCMCIA any more these days. Asus, Alienware don't have anymore. So one of my option is the Precision M4400 has PCMCIA but has the Quadro FX 770M which I don't know about. Is this GPU good for my needs? Thanks in advance! Best regards, furyion
Guest Guest
The FX 770M has been made specifically for professional applications and cuts through the wind smoothly with applications that endorse OpenGL. This card slaughters most in terms of 3D & CAD, but not the best in terms of gaming. :)
Andrew55
Pretty good for gaming though. Rates between a 9500m gs and 9600m gs.
