Guest invisigoth
Hi, I own a acer 5684 notebook with a nvidia geforce 7600 card in it, vista as operating system. About a month ago it died on me while i was working with it. No way to power-up again so i contacted acer support and my notebook was send to the repair center. When it came back i f***** up my windows so i tried doing a clean install of the operating system. No way to install because it always crashed on the video drivers or ^powers up and shows pink dots Because i knew XP pro was more stable and i own it from my previous pc i installed it thinking i had a Vista problem. Installation goes fine, all my programs work, but when i try to install any other video driver than the standard vga driver my screen goes pink dots again and crashes. CodeCrackerx9
Pink dots or any kind of graphical artifact is usually a sign of video card failure. I would have Acer take it back again for repairs. Hope this helps!
