This question is asked a lot so here is the answer if you feel the need to post the following question:

'What is the best driver?' There is no best driver. Every driver is unique to specific purposes and as such the question is generalised and in most cases unanswerable. So the question is not 'what is the best driver ' but 'what is the best driver for a specific purpose.'

I thought that above post looked familiar! :)

Assuming your intent is games, I would go with the 174.74 drivers (with modded inf).

I am sorry frost, maybe i am too new to this forum :P well obvious reason when you want high gfx is games :(

There are few more question, is there any way to check 3Dmarks? i have seen the software is too big, and i cant download it. anything simpler for benchmarking?

and how to choose which one is good and which one is bad?

should i try them installing one by one? overwriting higher with lower version or uninstall the installed version and try with new?

The steps to install new or older drivers is..

Install

Restart

Benchmark

Uninstall

Restart

Install

Restart

*Benchmark

and so on... lol

To remove, go to add remove programs and remove nVidia drivers.

Also remove Physx, if you have it.

Questions again :)

any software for benchmarking?

and is it good to use ntune?

My PC came with forceware version 156.82

its much faster than any other forceware version. UAC screen takes lot of time to give me prompt. that means that particular forceware version is not fine for my card?
