LTC-Finnam
Hello all. I have a situation: My Widow PC Sting 517d (Clevo M570U) needs a new video card. It currently has the 512mb nVidia GO 7900 GTX in it and it crashes when playing. I've read that this particular card has/had a 50% + failure rate. My laptop was built in October of 2006. This is what can be found written on the video card as well as the heatsink/case-module: nvidia l603b639 0613a2 s taiwan n41488.00p gf-g07900-gtxn-a2 m570ug71m-u v1.0 6-33-m57as-301 06/08/02 forcecon sys-bjjfkjh 5tn71m126240774 numbers on board 671 d90tl-d31 0616d7 actual board size 10.2 cm x 7.7 cm I need help identifying the connection type so that I may try to find a replacement card. Let me know, if you know, what is the best card that would fit this connection and where to possibly obtain one. I have not had any success getting any support from either Widow PC or even Clevo directly; they both want me to ship the laptop in for "analysis".. yea.. that'll happen. Here are some pictures: Thank you kindly! LTC Edited September 27, 2008 by LTC-Finnam
Phnx
Try posting in the sager/clevo section of forum.notebookreview.com I know that the m570u was the last of the clevo notebooks to use a proprietary connector, so you'll have to replace it with something from the same machine. People at NBR should be able to help more
