ghaldos Posted October 1, 2008 Report Share Posted October 1, 2008 I have an acer 4720z laptop and was reading the service manual that it has an mxm-II card slot however information for this laptop specifically. The laptop has integrated video, intel gma x3100, but doing a search on ebay for an mxm-II card I saw that the 4720G which to my understanding of the service manual uses almost the same hardware/software as the 4720z, 4720 and 4320. I believe the 4720g has similar components except for the gpu which is mxm compatible. It is highly unlikely that it has an mxm slot. Hope this helps. That's pretty much what I've been reading as well I'll probably end up opening the case just to check and see if it has an mxm slot but I'm not holding my breath lol.
