I'm assuming you have Vista. Can't remember how this works for XP.

Go to Control Panel -> Power Options, click "Change Plan Settings" under the plan you want to look at, then "Change Advanced Power Settings". This will show you all the settings for each power scheme, and you can figure out what the differences are.
