8600GT Driver for XPS M1530

My current driver version is "7.15.11.7431". I downloaded the newest driver version today.While the installation, it says that the Nvidia driver is not compatible with my hardware.How can i update my driver?

go there and download the driver and the 'modified inf file' also. extract the driver to a folder, then copy and paste the modified inf file to that same folder. when prompted to replace existing file say yes. then run setup.exe

you may want to wait an hour for 178.24 to be posted on here. im expecting better performance for games in this release

I tried 178.13 version.Nothing changed.The driver version is the same.

you mean the version is different but the performance is the same? all new drivers. the 178 and 179 drivers are all pretty similar. not a lot changes performance wise.
