RFrancis
What comparison does this graphics cards have in performance when it comes to gaming; I do know the Quadro is targeted mostly at CAD and DCC but can it outperform the 8800m GTX? Well I found a great comparison for both cards, but I would still like to hear from you guys. Dox
the 3600M is just a rebranded 8800MGTX from I know. SO performance wise its the same. Only difference in the cards is driver support, you could mod the drivers so 8800MGTX will accelerate Proffesional apps and vice versa for the 3600M (acclerate games). RFrancis
Which one would you guys choose for playing games mostly as I have little interest in the innate qualities of the 3600M Quadro, considering that the 8800m GTX is 100 dollars less than the other one. wook
FX 3600M is based on 8800m GTS, which is approximately 15-25% cut of 8800m GTX. FX 3600M has better 3d-model rendering because of the quatro optimized drivers. Gaming wise go for the 8800 GTX
Claw
No doubt 8800M GTX is better for gaming, while Quadro is designed for more professional uses. Edited October 20, 2008 by Claw
mobilenvidia
Why not go for a Quadro FX3700M with 128 Cores even the 9800GTX doesn't match this :)
RFrancis
Is the Quadro FX3700M and the 3600M the same size? And if they are how would I be able to buy it by itself as Alienware only provides the 3600M option?

Alienware = Dell = Precision M6500 has the Quadro 3700M with 1GB :) The SLi 8800GTX and 9800GTX should be very similar, same base as the Quadro 3600M and 3700M. The 9x00 is mostly a die shrunk version of the 8x00 GPU's. Alienware will hopefully get the Quadro 3700M, maybe even with SLi (2x1GB 3700M's) Eurocom's Clevo based D900C1 has the 3700M and also dual 1GB 9800GTX's as an option. I'm still uncertain on various aspects; Gaming: 8800M GTX > Quadro FX 3600M but what is the best graphics card that I can buy in the same form factor that will fit my laptop?
