silviana
HP DV5 1021TX:(15"4) 1280*800 CPU:Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4G L2 Cache:3MB Intel PM45 RAM: 4GB DDRII 800 MHz (2G*2) VGA:Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT 512MB DDR2 Acer Aspire 5930G:(15"4) 1280*800 CPU:Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4G L2 Cache:3MB Intel PM45 RAM: 4GB DDRII 667 MHz (2G*2) VGA:Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT 512MB DDR3 I think the only different are RAM and VGA, 1021TX has 800Mhz RAM but DDR2 VGA card 5930 has 667Mhz RAM but DDR2 VGA card what will the 3DMARK06 score be for these two laptops? which will performs better? cause I just heard that 667Mhz and 800Mhz dont really matter but DDR2 and DDR3 do matter. Guest MonkeyMhz
Go for the one with the GDDR3 9600GT, its a big difference. Because I have a 8600GT with GDDR3 and friends who have them with DDR2 dont get nearly the same performance I do. And do what I did, undervolt ur CPU when u get it, then oc ur card. Make sure everything is good temps <70C. And ur good to go.
wook
double check to see what FSB the systems do have. 667 is the fastest ram can go in a 800 Mhz system. (i think) yes DDR3 Vram is what you want. way better performance in the 9600 GT. can also overclock higher 3dmark score will probably be around 6,000. the DDR3 will be maybe 800 points faster. Just an educated guess. overclocking will be 10-15 % more than that of DDR2
coolcop06
yea defiantly go with the DDR3 gpu. itll have higher clock speeds stock, which means better performance (which is better that 800Mhz ram), and will overclock higher than the DDR2's
