Hi !

I've a LENOVO Thinkpad T61p equiped with Vista 64Bits pro, GeForce Quadro FX 570M 256ddr3 & 4go ddr2 with FullHD 1920x1200 15,4" WUXGA screen.

DirectX 10 & 9.25.xxxx (last release from November 2008).

Dox's nVidia Driver who is compatible with my video card + RivaTuner + Powerlizer (AC full power) all was downloaded yesterday.

PhysX last release from yesterday.

All games work (Fallout 3, NFS Undercover, Red Alert 3, HL2, CSS) without any problème but Left 4 Dead doesn't work.

When i start the game : "Error : Cannot create D3D Device!".

All are up to date like Steam has said. This same game works on a friend's computer who has Acer with GeForce 8600GT.

Any idea ? tx a lot.

Try running the game in windowed mode and then set the resolution.

Failing that try setting your max resolution as -w 1280 -h 800 in the advanced launch options.

Seems to work for Quadro 140m users who have tried the other fixes for that error message.

Good job Galdere !!

Thank's a lot ! I've already tryed the windowed mode but the game didn't work.

I've try this solution who was unknown for me : -w 1280 -h 800 and now the game work perfectly !

Thanks a lot, my bug is now fixed, i hope that will help some other players :) .
