FPS problem with 8600GT and can't install the patch! looking for help!

I can't install this patch which name is Windows6.0-KB936357-x86.msu, because when i play the big game like 2K9 and GTA 4 the FPS is instability!!( when i enter the game, the FPS is normal. but after almost 10 minutes, the FPS is declined to 4-7 FPS, after a while, then go back to normal.) My friend's system is XP, he has a same problem with me until he installed patch which name is KB896256. so i find the patch which adapt vista 32bit, but i can't install, it displayed (not adapt your system!!!) I'M looking foward your response!!!

what you are experiencing is downclocking of your GPU. its when your system gets too hot. download and install RMclock. if you are overclocking crank it down a bit. try a different driver.

Thanks!! Could you tell me specific operate about RM clock? I have installed this software into my laptop, but i don;t know how to use it!!
