asenine Posted December 13, 2008 Report Share Posted December 13, 2008 I recently stumbled across this thread on your forums, which lists my card (8600GS) as being supported by the driver at hand. However, the nVidia website gives me the 17x drivers instead. Are these drivers safe to use on a desktop, or are they strictly for laptops? Thanks. Morris Posted December 13, 2008 Report Share Posted December 13, 2008 for a desktop, there is no need to use the modded inf, just install, the driver on this site are mostly desktop drivers, to make it mobile compatible, we use the modded inf.
