Morris
yes, it should be, since the 8920 is MXM as well, but you already have a really powerful card.
wook
Good to see you back in the forum ahgain Pistino01. Your laptop is MXM Type III. Most if not all 17" laptops that have MXM are type 3. Off hand i know the 9700 and 9600 GT cards will fit in it. but not sure about the rest. Actually im pretty sure the 9800 GTX is not currently available for MXM. And the 8800 GTX apparently (roumers) will only be type 2. My system has MXM type 3 also, and all i could do it put in a 9700 GT card. As far as CPU goes you could go all the way up to core 2 extreme X9100 3.1 Ghz (but they generate way more heat, and power for money i'd probably say the T9600 2.8 Ghz is the best value, and pretty good performance) ** Considering that the X9000 2.8 Ghz is actually slower than the T9600 2.8 Ghz
Jasperbones
8930G 864G64BN Core 2 Duo P8600 2x 2,4 Ghz + 4GB DDR3 1066+ Geforce 9700m GT 512MB DDR3 the only sense making upgrade would be a MXM-III 9800 card or a 9700m GTS (rare, 256bit mem) but the are expensive as hell... >400?
