Tanith Posted January 12, 2009 Report Share Posted January 12, 2009 Hey I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the graphics card on the Sony Vaio VGN-FZ21Z. The card that comes with is a Nvidia Geforce 8600M GS. If it is possible to upgrade what is the best possible MXM card that would work on this particular laptop model? Bades Posted January 12, 2009 Report Share Posted January 12, 2009 if in the spec of your laptop it says MXM next to the graphics card, or indeed has any mention of MXM, that is the technology that allows you to upgrade the graphics card in laptops. if not, then unfortunately the graphics card is soldered onto the motherboard. it is unlikely that the laptop supports MXM.
