Galdere
Have you disabled any services etc that may have controlled this? Do you have hibernate on? I've read that on some Dells it causes your problem if it's disabled. Did your PC come with XP or vista installed? Is there an option in the bios? Do you have the latest (A09) bios? http://support.us.dell.com/support/downloa...p;fileid=264345 Some laptops have a switch inside that disables the screen when you close the lid. You might want to set it as a power management auto turn off or a blank screen saver. If a switch is broken, and you don't have a secondary function key to manually switch it off, you can create a shortcut to a util like: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html
