Guest DarkSkye Posted February 3, 2009 Report Share Posted February 3, 2009 hello all. I have a compal jhl 90 laptop that is literally 2 days old. I am running vista 64 bit. Both synaptics and alps drivers work with my touchpad. So far there has only been one flavor of alps drivers that i have found (dell) that support scrolling. I have searched for hours upon hours trying to get this damned thing to work with synaptic. Sure the driver will install, but it doesn't really do anything different than without a driver. *Interesting aside* typically when you have the animated icon in the system tray, it will show that you are pressing on the touchpad; for some reason it doesn't show this. ANYWHO Does anyone know how to get a damned synaptics driver to support scrolling? I really didn't like how the alps driver wasn't smooth.
