Guest dave
Hello everyone I've got myself an alienware 7700 with the following specs 3.8ghz 2gb ram 300gb hd 150x2 7200rpm 7800 gtx 256mb with 180.70 drivers Now I'm trying to play the game "Portal" and "Team Fortress 2" and it lags quite a bit, I've tried numerous settings, and it just wont give. Now on a side note, Half Life 2 runs excellent, sometimes it will lag on a heavy scene because I have everything on high :) . Could my drivers be the culprit??? I recently upgraded them to 180.70, I used to have the one on Nvidias site for this laptop. Any advise would be wonderful. Thanks Dave
Hidavi
Search this site for Dox 182.46 and install them. Also, double that RAM if you're gaming on Vista. Also, what settings are you running those games on? Those games aren't too old, you may have to come to terms with the fact that your card is pretty old... Phnx
How does HL2: Ep1 play? TF2 and Portal both use the source 2007 engine whereas HL2 uses the original source engine. As said above, try different drivers, and try lowering settings.

Guest Guest
yeah Portal acts the same way. Would overclocking my card help a bit?
