There was a start up issue with my ATI 3650 from ebay, flashed almost every vbios for it, tweaked several vbios and flashed them and then one day oooops it all went to pot! Since doing this I have tried the card in an acer machine and get the same result as my xi1546 the system starts black screen the bios beeps and then the machine continually resets itself. I then tried an amilo 3438g and to my surprise the machine boots to windows with a black screen, I have also tried a 1437g which does the same. I created a boot cd and can type commands for atiflash and the disc spins up and appears to respond to my command. I suspect what is happening behind the scene is the error "Adapter Not Found, press 1 to continue" because flashing with the original bios does not work. Can anybody give any suggestions?
