X3lectric
Hi using vista 32 ultimate and 9800M GT in SLI can anyone shed some light on which registry settings send the card to 200mHz instead of 500Mhz and how to change them so I get 500mHz anytime I like since they refuse to goto 500MHz at any 3d intensive gmaing or 3dsmax using the nvidia 3dsmax driver. teqguy
I have a 7400 Go and I'm thoroughly impressed with these drivers. Being that the GPU is now three years old, I had always stuck with 8x.xx or 9x.xx series drivers. However, more recently, I have been watching more videos encoded with h264 running 720p and old drivers no longer cut it; videos constantly suffered from screen tearing. I've tried 100.xx - 16x.xx series, but these are the first drivers that actually function completely. The classic control panel works, as does overclocking, which is more than I can say for any driver in a long time. You can use RivaTuner, or NVTray/NVTweak to re-enable the classic control panel and coolbits. The classic control panel isn't persistent, so you'll have to enable it every time you want to use it. Overclocking, however, should stick.
X3lectric
Erm no Rivatuner is as useless and is nvtweak in this case neither are good to work with the newer cards or drivers. Classic control panel will never show up so it definetly persistent in one thing it doesnt work so hence I asked here if anyone knoew what registry setting control the powermizer/clock speed on these cards bypassing all the tools here mentioned. Thnks for all the fish but no catch atm.

I think we have a language barrier issue here. I'm currently using both Rivatuner(2.22) and NvTweak with 186.08 and they work perfectly fine. As far as the classic control panel is concerned, as I mentioned above, it does work -- it just isn't enabled permanently. Here is a screenshot to prove it: Notice that coolbits is also available. This might not be what you're looking for, but there is no way to successfully overclock your GPU in a viable manner through the registry. My only suggestion to you would be cleanly install your drivers, but aside from that, you're definitely doing something wrong. Guest Guest
bit of a quandry here, hope someone cares to help. ever since these 181-186 drivers came out, i'm having trouble with my flatscreen OLEVIA. I have an xps1530, and an OLevia 237t model. connected via HDMI. the trouble is: while my laptop is still running, changing the display on my t.v., or turning it off -- then putting it back to HDMI/turning it on -- the CONNECTION on the hdmi between my laptop and teli disappears! 180 drivers and below never had these problem! i would then get the blue screen, and the NO SIGNAL! status on the teli. it's really irritating as the new drivers is needed to play MASS EFFECT, and rolling back would not work on the game. please help! Let's start of by diagnosing the display: Try connecting the laptop to the display by other means(VGA, HDMI to DVI adapter), or connect it to another display. If the issue persists, we know it's a problem with the laptop and not the display. However, if this alleviates the problem, I would recommend updating the firmware on your Olevia and trying again. I also have an Olevia, so I know how frustrating they can be at times(mine is extremely slow at changing input modes).

Only to get a BIN file, with no instructions with what to do with it, i also downloaded the pdf file with no help from it whatsoever. what shall i do with only a BIN file? and do i connect my laptop via USB cord to update it my tv? any help would be appreciated thanks. i think it might be olevia's firmware after all, i tried contacting them 2 days ago and still no reply. thanks
Guest Guest_Mike_*
Anyone having trouble downloading a driver? Every time I try to download I get sent to another page with this message: Empty Referer We have recognized that you are attempting to directly link to our drivers. Please head over to the LaptopVideo2Go website and try downloading a driver. I am at the website to download and it won't let me do it. I tried several different ones with the same message.
