mariner
Greetings. Apreciate any help with the above setup running Vista32 SP2 and Realtek's 229 audio driver. HDMI audio worked fine with ASUS' 179.14 driver, but stopped working with newer versions: 1. Nvidia's 186.03 : Philips TV was detected as DVI device with no audio. 2. ASUS' 186.31 : TV detected as HDMI device, but again no audio. However, all drivers worked fine when the TV is replace with a ViewSonic VX2260WM HDMI monitor. Many thanks and best regards. Guest Gelitu
I suffer the same problem with my Acer 5920 connected to my Philips 9604/H12. With the old Nvidia driver works fine, HDMI port is detected but with the newest Nvida one (which has an incredible performance increase) HDMI is not recognised. It works as DVI. If I come back to the previos driver, it work again as HDMI. When I tried the HDMI connection, I had no sound, but, the solution is: - Go to control panel - Selecto the audio configuration (you know, the speaker) - after that you have to select the HDMI output as current device. And with this the audio works properly via HDMI.

Guest Pat
Hey all! I too am having similar problems. I have my dell studio xps 13 connected view HDMI to my viewsonic VX2433vm. Sound options shows that there is sound being outputed (green bar is moving up and down under playback tab) but there is no sound coming from my monitor. Any help would be greatly appreciated! mariner
Greetings Pat. My F6s had no problem with HDMI audio when connected to a ViewSonic VX2260WM monitor using latest drivers. But only the 179 drivers worked with the Philips 9703 LCD TV. The F6s is running Vista32 SP2.
