Dox
Thanks for Nautis1100 (for the fix) and Namaiki (for the news). Nautis1100 was kind enough to bring you a patch for the hybrid graphics side of my (old) 185.85 windows 7 x64. Things should work perfectly now. There was an incompatibility between the packaged intel drivers and nvidia 185.85 drivers when I released it in the package. All you need to do is download the patch. Run my installer, wait for the files to extract, put the patch files into the extracted folder and choose hybrid graphics and follow on screen instructions. I am not sure if it will work 100% for Vista x64 though. But probs will do.

Gameo
Maybe I'm just a bit slow here, but what does this do exactly? Is it a patch that all users who use 185.85 should use or something just for SLI, or what is this all about? :)

kriswill
Have an Alienware M17x (hybrid) 9400 + 2x GTX 280M with Windows 7 Ultimate RTM. With 186.42, SLI was working, but getting garbage perf in WOW ~20-30 FPS in 1920x1200, with minimal settings (no AA). Going to give 185.85 with hybrid patch a shot, I'll let you know how it turns out. -- 1. After cleaning with fresh install, the system only sees the 9400 M, not the 2 280M s. 2. Tried plugging in an external monitor to the HDMI port, and screens blanked out and wouldn't return. 3. HARD RESET. system comes back up, colors are all wonky. 4. Checked the NV Control panel, seems that the laptop display is running off of 280M directly, without external screen plugged in. 5. plugged in external monitor again, colors are correct on external only, screens are mirrored. 6. in desktop > set screen resolution > I see 3 monitors, the laptop (2), external 24" (3), and some unknown monitor (1) 7. I turn off display mirroring, colors are still wonked out on internal laptop display (2). It seems like when I switch graphics settings, I get optimal FPS, and it slowly degrades to about half the FPS over the next minute. Possibly a video memory problem? Or, it's using system memory for textures? Edited August 25, 2009 by kriswill
