The GPU bios is different from the fan control one.

You might want to have a look at this:

http://www.diefer.de/i8kfan/index.html

If you have a problem with it on x64, then:

http://www.notebookforums.com/post2907233.html

Not sure if it will work with a XPS though.

My base clocks are 540/860/1350.

I don't bother with software GPU OC, but I have a FSB upper to take my CPU to 2.8 from 2.5 etc if I feel the need.

Cheers for the Link.

I used to use nvidia system tools to OC as well

600/950/1500

What do you reckon of those OC clock rates?

Too much or too high?

Cheers.

I just tried to install the program but unfortunately it failed.

It said that i needed to have a properly signed driver or something.

I'm guessing a WHQL driver perhaps. Which means i can't use the modded INFs from here.

How are you finding the 191.00 driver range????? any goods?

It seems to be working quite well for me in fifa 10 demo and NFS shift runs great.

Cheers.

It's mostly down to your temps.

Get Hardware Monitor and see what they are like.

Check out the other link I put above for the signed driver thing. It's a x64 issue.

Don't rate 191.00 very highly. Like I said Dox's last release is still the best or one of the 186 series.

Hey mans thanks for all your help hey.

Much appreciated.

How do you OC ur CPU

I would really want to do that.

I tried setfsb last time but it seemed to have no effect when i ran it or attempted to OC it.

my cpu is the 2.5Ghz T9300.

I would like to also OC it to 2.8Ghz or 3.0Ghz.

How?

Cheers man.

Using setfsb is all about knowing the motherboard clock generator.

I have a T9300 and use this:

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=249470

Mine would go to 2.9 without problems, but I play it safe at 2.8 cos it doesn't just affect the CPU.

Sorry, I should have said that it is what your temps are under load for a while that matters.

Play a graphically intensive game for a couple of hours and see what the max temps were.

Hope that helps.

Judging by your name, I'm sure you will appreciate that as a Mancunian I am now going to watch the goals again, from the derby match I saw earlier.

Good luck.

I see here a some things off the topic and i would like to add something interesting

which belongs to the driver post.

I am also using and original RTM Windows 7 x64 Enterprise and it's original and legal.

I can play Need for Speed SHIFT with this driver without problems caused by the driver.

The problem is shift. I saw many guys which had problems like me.

Changing the video settings cause the game to crash in many cases.

Try to delete your config in the nfs shift dir under ur documents.

May help to make the game work.

And now the big point for this driver version.

It doesn't change clockings to high 3d clocks on desktop like almost all other drivers before.

Clocks are stable at low state and i like the driver very much for that.

Performance and Temps are very good.
