tenny Posted November 19, 2009 Report Share Posted November 19, 2009 (edited) I have an Acer 5520 that had the 8400M card in it that finally died. So i thought i would be smart and replace it with an X1700 256mb card that supposedly had the Acer bios on it. After installing the card my laptop made progress, Now when I power the laptop on the screen flashes white,but then goes back to black when the ac and batt are in. When the AC is unplugged i only get a black screen and the fn+esc will cause the orange light then after like five times a green power light. Alt+F10 does nothing at that point. I have searched for a X1700 256MB bios but could not find one. Any insight to fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.
