Guest arjcba
Installed this driver on my notebook (Asus G2s - 8600M GT), installation was ok using the modded inf. I didn't notice any difference from the older driver (188.71), gonna make some tests running DA - Origins, the only game playing right now About the updatussetup.exe i have no idea, description says it a 7z Setup SFX and if you try to run it you get a warning "This installer should never be installed manually. Use the NVIDIA driver installer to install it"
Guest Minotaur
Love the driver so far, only tested TF2, WoW and yes I am sad Sim City 4. Image quality seems to be a lot better and clearer on the desktop esp with fonts (this is with a CRT). Found no problems so far, profiles seem to be working correctly.. Just remember to use Driversweeper AND CCleaner!!! CCleaner found a lot of stuff Driversweeper didn't find, it might just be Win7 x64. I didn't use any sweeper or even unstalled the previous driver and it worked ok (W7x64)
Guest Minotaur
Well if you enjoy having a dirty registry, having old irrelevant files lying around the system and the small possibility of having problems. I guess it is OK then.
zipper
More than probable - I have had problems to get PowerMizer to work in 2D with the latest drivers. They have needed careful uninstall and clean process to make new install a success.
Guest arjcba
Well if you enjoy having a dirty registry, having old irrelevant files lying around the system and the small possibility of having problems. I guess it is OK then. I'm not telling you to NOT uninstall the previous driver or to NOT use a driver sweeper, I'm just informing that all that is not needed to make the driver install ok, at least not for me, the friend above didn't have the same luck. Since Windows Vista is out i don't face any problem by upgrading drivers, always using mobile set, when i use desktop or quadro drivers I get some problems during the installations, WHEN them install at all. But WinXP DOES need some work with Windows registry while Windows Vista and Seven just uninstall the previous driver is enough. That's what I have experienced so far
