Alienware m9750 Dual 8700m Graphics Problem

Hi everyone,

New to this site and hopeful that someone can help. I've left messages/posts on other sites but no one seems to care!! :)

Here's the issues and I'm sure it isn't the first.

I have a second-hand Alienware m9750 running Windows 7. That is all that is loaded - a fresh install last night.

I have dual 8700M GT graphics cards yet (physically checked), despite my efforts downloading and installing the drivers from the NVidia site, nothing is found. Both are connected and should appear as SLI enabled. Both worked fine under XP and Vista but I no longer have XP or Vista (not that i'd want to use Vista!!!!).

The process that I have been through for each set of NVidia drivers has been:

1. Download driver

2. Uninstalle existing driver using @Driver Sweeper'

3. Reboot Laptop

4. Laptop boots in VGA mode

5. Installe new Nvidia driver

6. Reboot laptop

7. Check installation for dual graphics cards - only ever one.

I have been over this process over, and over, and over to no avail with subsequently older drivers.

Can anyone please help? Surely its not that impossible? :)
