Trios Posted July 6, 2010 Report Share Posted July 6, 2010 Good Day well i will get straight to the point i wonder if anyone knows of a safe driver for my GeForce 9500M GS on my Acer aspire 5920, this is my second card the first one well burned out last november and i was lucky that my warranty covered it this time but it expired the month after words, i had updated my diver like 2 weeks before but it was a GeForce 8600M GT, anyway i want to update the diver so i wonder if there are anyone with any recommendations? Oblox Posted July 6, 2010 Report Share Posted July 6, 2010 Your card most likely burnt out due to the 8600s having thermal issues. Cards are very unlikely to burn out due to a driver problem it would have to be a major issue like the fans never spinning up for that to happen so if you want to play it safe just stick to the WHQL drivers as these are tested by microsoft. 257.21 is the most recent WHQL and should work fine with your card.
