ninevoltz Posted July 15, 2010 Report Share Posted July 15, 2010 First post, so Hi! I just successfully upgraded my Gateway NX860X laptop from a GeForce 7600M 128MB to a GeForce 9650M GT 1GB. It runs great, and plays any game I throw at it. The one weird thing I've noticed, if I turn off the laptop power, the battery will not charge if the 9650 is installed. If I turn power on, then the battery will start charging. Anyone know what might cause that? I had a situation where the battery was dead so the laptop would not turn on unless I removed the 9650 from the slot. Anyone experience this?
