StaFForD
Turns out my antivirus tagged the program as a "pending file" that a required admin review even though I claimed it as safe; and for some reason it kept it from running even though I shut the antivirus software down. The only reason I found this is because I am trying to get a dedicated server working for a game and was poking around trying to figure out why the server wasn't working I am using COMODO Internet Security Premium in case you were wondering. Thanks for your help though
Guest unclewebb
Thanks StaFForD for the info. Some security programs don't like the open source WinRing0 driver that ThrottleStop uses. There's no other way to get data from the CPU without Ring0 access. I went with an open source driver to try and keep the nanny software happy but I guess not all the nannies are happy. I use Avast and never have a problem with this.
DooMaster
Thank you for this, I also spend many hours in the past searching for some OC tool for my M1530. I'll try to activate my T9500 to achieve 2.8 Ghz and also undervolt a little bit, it's shame only have a 8400M GS board, but it OC some. You made a tremendous OC to your 8600M GT board, my congrats, it should run fast even latest games.
DooMaster
It didnt work at first time, but now it works!, increase from 2.6 to 2.8 ghz (T9500), really nice. I start a torture test in prime95 but it gets really hot. ¿There is any way to keep throthling at least in 2 or 3 stages for better battery managment? (i.e. keep minimum 1200 mhz and maximum 2800 mhz to switch dinamicaly by demand) Best Regards
