ASUS, MSI and AOPEN are the first who say they want to release Desktop based graphic cards. NV says there will be GPUs available in the 2nd half of 2004. No word to Laptop GPUs so far.

NV has 4 models planned so far:

Geforce PCX 5950

GeForce PCX 5750

GeForce PCX 5300

GeForce PCX 4300

more specific infos for PCI-express here:

http://www.pcisig.com/specifications/pciexpress/

and for PCI-X 2.0 here:

http://www.pcisig.com/specifications/pcix_20/

basic info:

NV: PCX=PCI-express

Intel: PCIe=PCI-express

PCI-X= another story (questionable, if it would arrive)

Peripheral Component Interconnect:
PCI 32-bit, 33MHz - 1056 Mbit/s (we use this, except for servers and high-end workstations)
PCI 32-bit, 66MHz - 2112 Mbit/s
PCI 64-bit, 33MHz - 2112 Mbit/s
PCI 64-bit, 66MHz - 4224 Mbit/s
(parallel, one way communication, shared bus)

Accelerated Graphics Port:
AGP 1x - 2112 Mbit/s
AGP 2x - 4224 Mbit/s
AGP 4x - 8448 Mbit/s
AGP 8x - 16896 Mbit/s
(parallel, one way communication)

PCI Extended: (mainly used in servers)
PCI-X 16-bit, 133MHz - 2128 Mbit/s
PCI-X 16-bit, 266MT/s - 4256 Mbit/s
PCI-X 16-bit, 533MT/s - 8528 Mbit/s
PCI-X 32-bit, 66MHz - 2112 Mbit/s
PCI-X 32-bit, 133MHz - 4256 Mbit/s
PCI-X 32-bit, 266MT/s - 8512 Mbit/s
PCI-X 32-bit, 533MT/s - 17056 Mbit/s
PCI-X 64-bit, 66MHz - 4224 Mbit/s
PCI-X 64-bit, 133MHz - 8512 Mbit/s
PCI-X 64-bit, 266MT/s - 17024 Mbit/s
PCI-X 64-bit, 533MT/s - 34112 Mbit/s
(PCI-X 1.0 is a shared, parallel or point-to-point architecture, PCI-X 2.0 is a parallell or point-to-point architecture)

PCI Express:
PCX x1 - 2500 Mbit/s
PCX x2 - 5000 Mbit/s
PCX x4 - 10000 Mbit/s
PCX x8 - 20000 Mbit/s
PCX x16 - 40000 Mbit/s
PCX x32 - 80000 Mbit/s
(two way communication, serial switched architecture, x1 can transfer a totalt of 5 Gbit/s)
