GMA3600 XP drivers

Hey ppl. I'm new to the forum. I found this forum while searching the net for a driver for my GMA3600. I got that Asus EEE PC with Intel Atom processor and the GPU is the Graphics Media Accelerator 3600 for which I cannot get drivers for, I need them to be Windows Xp 32bit... Any chance You can help me? I've read that that intel did not even make such a driver as it was meant to be used with Win7 and newer systems, so all the drivers I can get are for Win7 and up... I can hardly believe it, I made it so far I found almost all the drivers for it just not the GMA:( I only managed to find the generic one, but it only lets me use higher resolution thats it. It has no 2D or 3D acceleration possibility nor video support... It only lets me get my GPU recognized by Windows and use higher resolution, which in my case right now i 1024x600...

Can anyone help me on that? Is it sooooo hard to modify existing drivers to work with older windows versions? I cant let it run Win7 because of a huge lag, it takes 10mins to load the system and another 10mins to load the browser... That's not right they didnt make the support for Xp, or at least the Vista. This Asus has RAM soldered in so no upgrade, and I got only 1024MB so please... anyone help:) Thank You.

Yea this seems to do the trick but I have a feeling it's the generic one. The same that I found before it only lets me use full color paletter and higher resolution. It doesnt contain any hardware acceleration stuff, no dx support nothing:( Ofcourse cant run anything without it ye know. I will let You know later today cause Im out of reach of that machine.

You are asking alot, Intel never really made a driver for the GMA3600 series for WinXP

You could try modding a different driver that has full WinXP support for your PCI_ID

So it's just like I thought. It is generic only. No 2D, 3D, DirectX, no video acceleration either:( Cam you tell me how could I mod the driver to operate under WindowsXp? There are hunderds of commands designed for Se7en that are not supported by Xp, Vista and all the systems lower than 7. Even if I force it to use the driver it will bring out hundreds of errors of unhandled exceptions or missing entry points in kernel32.dll and so on.... I hit this forum in hope You ppl know more about this kind of modding than me... Can we do something about it? I'm slowly thinking of extremely modded (the lightest and fastest) Se7en edition, by so far I can't run RT 7 under windows Xp, are there alternatives for it? Thanks

As the GMA 3600 is PowerVR SGX545 based limits the driver base quite drastically

Try the following older PowerVR based GMA series with XP support, you will probably need to mod the PCI_ID's in the INF for it to install

What do you mean mod the pci_id? The GMA600 you gave me is Windows7 only.
