Hi,

I am looking for a tv driver for my toshiba tecra 8000 running WinXP. It has a neomagic display driver but i do not find any ways to display the output on TV.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

Hm, NeoMagic is difficult. Is there a TV-out jack? I didn't know that?

Also, could pls add some specs?

Tecra a,b,c,d,e,f,g,....? Europe, asia, usa?

Which card? NeoMagic 256, AV, ZX, AVP, XL??

Also have a look at ACER download site.

run DXDIAG and attach result, pls.

Yes, there is a TV out jack. Its a Toshiba tecra 8000 with a NeoMagic MagicGraph 256AV driver.

Its a USA machine.

Thanks!

"This seems to be the Driver I was looking for, working OK on Teccra 8000"

Found that user report and will upload this driver.

But i'm unsure if you need a driver or have already one which is lacking of proper TV Output?

Here is another quote from another driver:

"I installed this on my Thinkpad 570e after upgrading it to W2K. For some odd reason, it causes my screen to go into a green tint when switching to 16-bit color. If I remove the drivers, resintall them, and reboot, the problem is fixed, but only for that session. The next time I reboot, it goes back to the green tint. If anyone knows how to fix this, I'd love to know."

Here's a choice of drivers for you. Read the README.TXT if any. Will delete the archive in a week or so.

The one with the working TVoutput as reported by some user (see quote above) is in the folder "another driver (there are soo many)"-subfolder: NeomagicMagicmedia256avdriver. Too lazy to rename it in a proper way. Hope it works for you. Pls. report back.
