ulysse
Hi all, can anybody tell me how to change the FSB:DRAM ratio on my Samsung X10? I actually replaced the 2x256MB Samsung PC2100 by 2x512 Infineon PC2700 and CPU-Z tells me the RAM is running at 133MHz (instead of 166MHz for PC2700) I assume this is because the FSB:DRAM ratio is 3:4 (that's what CPU-Z is telling me) and to run at it's full capacity it should be 3:5 If have no options to change this in the BIOS. Is there any other way? Thanks ulysse
Guest mobile risk
Could be that your mainboard has a slight problem with supporting PC2700 RAM. Maybe you should call the Samsung Support and ask what the mainboard is supporting.
®®®
WPCPREDIT from H-ODA is able to set registers in your BIOS that are hidden by OEM or award. Though i dont' think that the DRAM:FSB ratio can be found easy or even is implemented in your BIOS. Also you need a .PCR file for your chipset and i dont' know if mobile chipsets files can be found in WWW.
