Windows 2000 Issue?

I have this weird thing in Windows 2000 SP4. After I uninstalled old nVidia drivers and rebooted, windows 2000 refuses to install the driver. I click "Have Disk" and select the .inf but then it says that my video card matches none of the entrys in the inf file. My video card is in the .inf (same vendor id and device id).

Then just for the heck of it, I told windows to use one of the drivers that come with windows on the video card (nVidia TNT2 Rive I believe). I decided to not reboot. I try update driver and this time after "Have Disk" it lists every single device listed in the .inf and everything works.

Isn't that weird? :)

BTW: What you have listed as Quadro 4 GoGL 500 (10de:017c) should be Quadro 4 GoGL 550?
