Guest C160 Posted August 1, 2004 Report Share Posted August 1, 2004 Hi Folks, I used the 53.03 with Pieter's Inf for a long time. No Probs or anything. Got ~ 7500 in 3DMark2001SE330 with best Quality and VS on (no overclocking). Now I tried the 61.77 (any higher won't work) and I got only ~6900 with the same settings. Only when I use max. performance and VS off I get nearly 7400. What do the new drivers bring to me? Did u discovered any big performance extra in games since 53.03? Right now I don't see the point to use a new driver but maybe u know some good reasons^^. : Medion MD 6200, P4 2,6 GHz, 512 DDR 333, GFX5200Go, etc... Bill Posted August 1, 2004 Report Share Posted August 1, 2004 Unless the new drivers are faster for you or unless you have a new game that requires them, or unless you want the new features (their aren't many), you should stick with older drivers.
