Palardo Posted April 6, 2004 Report Share Posted April 6, 2004 Tried the 56 INF that Teraphy sent me. Totally freaks out my video card. 1. When I touch the Nvidia in the System tray it freezes my system for 30 secs before the drop down menu occurs., 2. Played a Video on WINDVD and the LCD went into a wild alternating flicker between Standard VGS 640x480 mode (in the negative) rapid alternating to the current res of 1600 x 1200. Epilectic Nightmare! Have to reboot to stop. 3. Also once the NView dialog is activated you loose your color correction settings. 4. Clicking on the Nvidia control panl and the Geforoce 440 tab, the system freezes againa for 30 sedcs before ethe menu justs out to the left. What is wrong? Why won't any Nvidia driver work in 98? I didn't test the file since I don't have 9X on my machine anymore. :) I think NVIDIA drivers might work fine on desktop machines since those are still supported but I don't believe the mobile cards will be supported since the manufacturers don't support the OS anymore.
