Here is a chance to help me out, can someone(s) please download the files below and extract them to see wether they have uploaded correctly.

If they have then they will be the official linked files.

All you have to do is download and extract, noting else, I need to know if there are any files with errors (hopefully not).

I'm running out of time :)

61.80

65.62

66.00

Thanks in advance,

Pieter.

Hi, Pieter...

I got a CRC failure in 6562. The others are fine.

Ahh, after closer study, my compressed file (on HD) has the CRC error ?!

I'll recompress check file then re-upload.

So mny things to do so little time.

I found that ModeSetBlankDelay doesn't work for me in 66.00 ? it works in 65.62.

I just get a blank screen (backlight is on), everything boots as normal, weird how lately some settings just start to work or not.

Cheers Larry, I miss Dontknow he was the upload guru, did/are you catching up with him ?

Pieter.

Yeah, Teraphy is back, things have been a little hectic over here.

Cool I can rearrange links for drivers to over here now.

I had recompressed file with no CRC error this time.

Must write in some code into Compression prog for error handleing.

Cheers Teraphy,

Pieter.

dont worry, i'll be back in DE in 10 days or so to do some non CRC-error compression and uploading jobs :)

after packing, rightclick archive, "TEST archive", but i think it's alreDY included it in the batch..

the 93 Lumina (more than 100.000 miles) is broken, we have to stay here in Pittsburgh for some more days until it's fixed.

Yeah, Kompressor King is coming back. :)

One wee flaw with the testing of the file, it closes the window after it's finished so even if there was an error you'd never know (unless left click, which I'm using now)

Maybe upon error run compression again at the end ?

Hope your enjoying your time away.

Pieter.

see batch v2.1 notes:

rem * - added archive test after packing *

here's the commandline (which is already included as of v2.1):

"%ProgramFiles%\7-Zip\7z.exe" t "%nv_dv%.exe"

so i assume you pack with the 7-zip GUI, right? After packing is complete, open a CMD window in the folder where the packed file.exe is and type the following:

"%ProgramFiles%\7-Zip\7z.exe" t "xxxx.exe", where xxxx is the version number. Doing that you can see the result without your disappearing problem.

I pack using the batch file (v3), I run this from Windows then goes to a DOS box.

The message after the compression check is too fast to read (DOS window closes).

Maybe add an error part, so if error is found rerun the the compression from the start.

Something to work on later, as you said right click works just fine.

Pieter.

add

"pause"

to the batch file :)

Seems like time for another update on that batch file.

Of course I'm a DOS user still so I open a command window.

I'm a DOS user still

You ARE?

Where Pieter has a 2nd testing Partition with XP, Teraphy boots up DOS 6.22 from his 2nd partition every once in a while :)

just kidding

have fun

DOS 3.1 was still the best, it was after this the bug rot started and continues to this very day. :)

Shouldn't be too hard to fix, does 7-zip have errorlevels when completed ?

This could be added to the file to delte corruot file then loop around again on error. (would be good to have it automated as it takes me about 5 min to do the process (while working in the foreground).

Doesn't everyone use DOS... or is that Linux? I guess it all boils down to command line interface. Typing is faster than clicking except this one guy I saw avoided the mouse like the plague and used all the keys for menu commands etc.
