I'm not seeing anything new with this driver, though it may contain some bug fixes or support for new nVidia cards. 3DMark01 and 3DMark05 are a bit faster than 66.32/66.32, but 3DMark03 shows a slight decrease. Image quality is excellent.

This is my first review with results from 3DMark05 and I can't avoid making a couple of observations. The first thing you notice is that it's gorgeous to look at. (You WANT games to look like these!) The second thing you notice is how extremely poorly it runs with my FX Go5200. I don't think I ever got above 1 frame per second, unless I dozed off between frames and missed it. Most of the time the frame rate was well below 1 FPS. It's really quite painful to watch.

Still, it's a valid measure of driver performance, even on a card such as mine. Drivers that work better on the FX Go5200 are almost certain to do better on faster boards.

At the other end of the spectrum, 3DMark01 is really showing its age these days. However, we know that many (probably most) laptop owners don't have chips that support the latest games. You, too, need to know how the latest drivers perform.

For these reasons, we'll publish scores from all three tests for the foreseeable future.
