Guest Nanook
I have an Acer laptop with a NVidia GeForce FX Go5600 128MB card. Since Acer doesn't provide any new drivers (they should!), and neither does NVidia (for mobile cards), I was in a heap of *beep* before I discovered this page. The problem is that ever since I downloaded drivers from here, every time I try to install them, the computer asks me for files that are not to be found anywhere, not even in the driver-package I dl from here. Usually, I just choose "skip file" without cancelling the install, and the new drivers still work like a charm. BUT: the last time I tried this (with 66.81 driver), there were like 25 files missing, and the upgrade didn't happen. So, I guess the obvious problem is that the driver-installer asks for files that aren't there! But why?? Maybe it doesn't recognize my card, and thinks its another type of card? Preciate the help! ®®®
Use the Have Disk method step by step as described HERE and pay attention that you point to the right folder. [EDIT: and pay attention to picture no.3] Edited October 14, 2004 by dontknow
