if you have a directx7 videocard , create a autoexec.cfg like this :

sv_unlockedchapters "15"

sv_cheats "1"

con_enable "1"

mat_antialias "0"

r_fastzreject "1"

mat_reducefillrate "0"

mat_forceaniso "1"

mat_picmip "1" ( -> 1 = 512 MB ram , 2 = 256 )

mat_slopescaledepthbias_decal "-0.5"

mat_slopescaledepthbias_normal "0"

mat_depthbias_normal "0"

mat_trilinear "1" ( enable trilinear filter )

mat_forcehardwaresync "1"

mat_specular "1"

mat_parallaxmap "0"

r_shadowrendertotexture "1"

r_waterforceexpensive "1"

r_waterforcereflectentities "0"

r_rootlod "1"

mat_vsync "0"

mat_bumpmap "1"

r_screenfademinsize "0" ( I hate this !! Disable object occlusion !! :) )

r_screenfademaxsize "0" ( I hate this !! Disable object occlusin !! :) )

mat_softwarelighting "1"

dsp_off "0"

dsp_slow_cpu "0" ( only for fastest cpu`s )

r_shadows "1"

r_drawdetailprops "1"

r_drawmodeldecals "1"

r_drawflecks "1"

props_break_max_pieces "-1"

r_decal_cullsize "5"

sv_alternateticks "0"

r_dynamic "1"

cl_ejectbrass "1"

cl_detaildist "1600"

cl_detailfade "400"

Voilá !!!

Nice one!

Looks like lots of work to find out. Do you know any appropriate settings for slow DX9 cards, like the FX 5200 GO I have? Or is this card handled like a DX 8.1 card, 'cause it appears in the options like that? I would really like to see something like that coming up from you, 'cause I remembered having a huge increase in performance in DOOM3 by creating an autoexec.cfg just like you said!

Cleber

Just put in your launcher.exe executable shortcut ...

-dxlevel 80

-dxlevel 81

-dxlevel 90

:)

DX 7 GPU`s don`t affect by this ...
